Cheaper than Flywheel for a studio with many client sites
Flywheel’s agency plans grow with the number of sites you keep for clients. WPHost Business does not add a site charge. The price below is ours. It is not a quote of Flywheel’s current plan table.
The studio bill
$149 a month, or $1,490 for the year. Unlimited WordPress sites on Business, unlimited client logins, uptime email, and free eligible migrations. A client invite does not require a second paid seat fee.
Pro at $30 already covers staging and a team of up to 10 if the studio is still small.
What stays in the $149
- Each WordPress site has its own MySQL database, its own files, and its own web server site.
- PHP 8.4, automatic HTTPS on the preview address, and a custom domain when DNS points here.
- One dashboard and one bill. Client access is an invite with the editor or viewer role, not the agency password. Billing stays on the agency account.
- Pro and above include staging copies, CLI deploy, and scheduled tasks. Pro and Scale include up to 10 team members.
- Scale and Business check uptime every five minutes and email the owner only when a site changes between up and down.
- Business is unlimited WordPress sites, unlimited team members and client logins, and a free migration of each eligible client site.
- A recovery point stores that site’s files and database together, and it can be restored. You take it when you want one. It is not a daily backup job.
What you give up
Flywheel’s demo sites, blueprints, and cache are not reproduced here. A cheaper invoice does not include their tooling. Budget an hour on the preview to see the theme without that cache.
- There is no built-in CDN, page cache, or object cache.
- There is no malware scanner, no automatic plugin updates, and no email hosting. Leave MX records where they are.
- Support is a person answering the ticket. There is no coded response-time promise.
- There is no SSH product and no multisite move. WooCommerce can run as PHP and MySQL. There is no dedicated checkout SLA.
Hand the client a login
Create the invite after the site is on the preview URL. Editor if they change pages. Viewer if they only need to look. They never receive the password you use to manage the roster.

Questions
Does each client site cost $149?
No. $149 is the Business plan, and the plan holds the sites. One site on Starter is $9.
Can I white-label the hosting invoice?
No. There is no white-label usage report. You can still invite the client without showing them the agency billing page.
Is support a priority queue with a clock on it?
A person answers. There is no published response-time target in the product.
