On WPHost, “managed” is infrastructure: PHP 8.4, certificates, deploys, logs, optional staging and uptime checks. We do not auto-update plugins, scan every extension, or replace wp-admin with a fake app store.
That is a product choice. Automatic plugin updates can save a hobby blog and break a business site on the same afternoon. You still own WordPress. We own the runtime.
If you need a concierge that patches WooCommerce for you, hire that concierge. Do not expect a hosting brand to smuggle it in.
